Message to all THPT Schools and Colleagues

I am sure we were all very saddened by the news that came through last evening on the loss of our much-loved monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

We have to recognise that this is now a time of mourning for someone who dedicated her life to long and loyal service of our nation and many different peoples across the world. In carrying out her role, she demonstrated, at all times, a very kind heart and immense respect for everyone. She showed real joy as well as great presence and she brought us all together on many occasions, both at times of celebration and crisis. She will be sorely missed.

We are thinking of her family as they mourn their personal loss, and particularly her eldest son, who succeeds her as King Charles III.
